What guests see, what they can do, and what they cannot.
Do my guests need an app or an account?
No. The code opens a web page in their own browser and they upload from there.
There is no app, no account, no password and no email address collected. This is the whole design, not a feature: any step between the code and the camera roll costs you photographs, and the people it costs you most are the older guests whose photos you probably want most.
Guests are asked their first name once, before they pick anything, and it is remembered on their phone for the rest of the event.
Can I approve photos before anyone sees them?
Yes. Turn on upload approval in Settings, and contributions wait in a queue until you release them.
Guests are never shown a pending state. From their side the upload simply worked, which is deliberate: telling a guest their photo is being reviewed is a strange thing to do to someone doing you a favour.
The queue appears at the top of your Album tab whenever anything is waiting.
How do I remove a photo?
Open it in the album and press Delete, or select several and delete them together.
Guests can also remove their own uploads, which is on by default. The person best placed to take down a bad photo of themselves is the one who took it, and making them email you instead is how albums end up with things nobody wanted.
If a photograph of you was uploaded to somebody else's event, ask the host first, since they can delete it immediately. If you cannot reach them, email [email protected] with the album link and we will act.
A guest says they uploaded but I cannot see it
Check the approval queue first, then check that the upload window is still open.
If approval is on, their upload is in the queue at the top of your Album tab and is invisible to everyone else until you release it.
If the upload window has closed, the album stays readable and downloadable but stops accepting new files. The window runs from your event date, and you can see the exact date in Settings.
On very slow venue wifi a large video can take several minutes. The guest's page shows a per-file progress bar and keeps going as long as the tab is open.
